Want a clear indication of you body pH? Our Test Strips can help. pH Test Strips are ideal for measuring the pH of saliva or urine to give an indication of the alkaline balance of the body. With this information, you can better track changes as you move towards a healthier acid-alkaline balance via diet and lifestyle modifications. They are not suitable for measuring the pH of water.
The pH Test Strips are supplied in convenient-to-use packs of 100 strips.
Our pH Test Strips are optimised for the measurement of your internal pH balance and, since they benefit from a dual-pad layout, they are incredibly easy to read.
The strips provide much more accurate results than the standard pH papers you'll find at your local pharmacy.
Calibrated from pH 4.5 to pH 9.0, they can provide you with an accurate measurement of your body's internal pH balance within just 10 seconds of dipping them into either urine or saliva.
Note: pH Test Strips are specifically optimised for measuring the pH balance of your body's internal systems. If you wish to measure the pH of your drinking water, take a look at our Colourmetric Reagent instead.
Our pH Test Strips are ideally suited to the measurement of your body's internal pH balance. They are designed to be used with either urine or saliva as follows:
Just wet the pH test strip with saliva approx 2 hours after a meal and match it against the colour chart. This will give you a reflection of the state of your health. Although saliva is more acidic than blood, it gives a fair indicator of your state of health by indicating what your body retains. Salivary pH is understood to be an accurate indicator of your extra-cellular fluids and your alkaline mineral reserves.
The optimal pH of saliva is 6.5 to 7.0. A reading lower than 6.5 means you have insufficient alkaline reserves. After meals, the saliva should rise to 7.8 or even higher. If there is no increase, it implies that the body has a deficiency in alkaline minerals, particularly calcium and magnesium. If your saliva pH deviates from the ideal range for an extended period of time, this will likely lead to illness.
Your urine pH is an indication of how well your body is working to maintain the proper pH of your blood. By taking urine samples you can get a fairly accurate picture of your body pH, as our kidneys filter out the buffer salts of pH regulation. Your pH Test Strips can give an estimate as to blood pH based on what your body is eliminating.
Urine pH, meanwhile, can vary from pH 4.0 to pH 9.0; however the ideal range is between 6.5 and 7.0. Note blood pH should be 7.36. An ideal time to check urine pH is first thing in the morning, taking readings from first and second urination and averaging these figures.
For step-by-step instruction on the proper use of these pH strips, please refer to the Usage tab above.
Whether you're struggling with a health issue directly related to the buildup of harmful acidic compounds, or you're just interested to know how far your body is from achieving optimum balance, you'll find pH Test Strips incredibly useful.

To Test Urine:
Test the first and second urine of the day and record the average reading. To test, briefly place the pH strip in the urine stream, shake the excess fluid and wait 15 seconds to read your pH.
To Test Saliva
Wait two hours after eating. Spit saliva into spoon, dip the pH strip into the fluid and wait 15 seconds to read your pH.
In both cases, you are looking for a healthy pH that falls somewhere between 6.5 and 7. A low pH can be a cause for concern, as it indicates that your internal systems are becoming slightly acidic.
